Is the CISSP Right for You?

The CISSP is an elite-level credential. To qualify for full certification, candidates typically need a professional background in the field:

  • The Experience Standard: You must demonstrate at least five years of cumulative, paid work experience in at least two of the eight CISSP domains.
  • The Education Shortcut: You can shave one year off the requirement if you hold a four-year college degree or an approved regional credential.
